UPS WorldShip and Dynamics 365 Don’t Connect Automatically. We Fixed That.

Across every Dynamics 365 implementation we have done, our consultants kept reporting the same problem. The shipping floor was still manual. No matter how well the ERP was configured, the shipping team was re-entering data into UPS WorldShip or FedEx ShipManager by hand after every order. The information was already in D365. It just was not reaching the dock.

We built AI Shipment365 to close that gap. It is now live on Microsoft Marketplace and available to any manufacturer running Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

What AI Shipment365 Does

AI Shipment365 is an application built on top of D365. When a packing slip is posted, all relevant shipment data pushes automatically through Power Automate to an Azure cloud database and from there to UPS WorldShip, FedEx ShipManager, or any other carrier application the team is using.

On the shipping floor, the team scans the packing slip barcode at the workstation. The carrier system pulls the shipment details automatically based on configured mapping. Delivery address, customer account number, service type, delivery flags. They enter box weights, generate the label, and submit.

The tracking number and shipment details push back into D365 automatically. A batch process runs continuously, connecting to the carrier to update shipment status so the team always has current tracking information when a customer calls.

Orders that used to take 5 to 15 minutes to process manually now take 2 to 3 minutes. Shipping errors from manual entry stop. The number of shipments a team can process in a day increases significantly.

Why We Put It on Microsoft Marketplace

We had been deploying this as a custom integration for our own clients. The results were consistent across all of them. Faster processing, fewer errors, happier shipping teams.

We realized manufacturers who are not our clients have the same problem and deserve the same solution. Putting AI Shipment365 on Microsoft Marketplace makes it available to every manufacturer running D365, not just the ones working with us directly.

We also made it flexible enough to support multiple carriers, not just UPS WorldShip. Most manufacturers use more than one. The mapping is configured for each customer’s specific carrier setup.

How to Purchase AI Shipment365 on Microsoft Marketplace

  1. Go to Microsoft Marketplace and search AI Shipment365, or use the direct link at the bottom of this page.
  2. Purchase the product. Microsoft processes the transaction and initiates your subscription.
  3. An email is sent to Microsoft and to Ascent. We activate your subscription and reach out with deployment instructions.
  4. We schedule your configuration session. Within a few hours your shipping floor is running on connected data.

What to Have Ready Before Your Setup Session

Having these in place before the session keeps deployment at one to two hours.

      • D365 Finance and Operations cloud environment on a current supported version
      • Active Azure subscription, existing or new
      • Power Automate licensing. Many D365 F&O customers already have this included.
      • UPS WorldShip or FedEx ShipManager installed on shipping workstations
      • Customer shipping data: UPS account numbers, service type preferences, delivery flags for each account

The customer shipping data is the most important preparation step. Knowing which customers ship on their own account, which use collect accounts, and which have specific service type requirements means go-live is clean and same day.

What Happens After Purchase

We built AI Shipment365 and we handle the full configuration. Azure database setup, Power Automate flow deployment, WorldShip or FedEx mapping, customer data entry, and UAT. We complete everything in one session and stay available through your first live shipping period.

You do not need to figure out the setup yourself. We arrive prepared and you go live the same day.

One More Thing on AI

Everyone is talking about AI right now. But if your shipping process is broken and inefficient, AI cannot help you there. AI is most valuable downstream, once your data is accurate and your workflows are inside the system.

Connecting your shipping floor to D365 is not a step away from your AI strategy. It is one of the most practical steps toward it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is AI Shipment365? +
AI Shipment365 is a shipping integration for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations built by Ascent Innovations. It connects D365 directly to UPS WorldShip and FedEx ShipManager using Microsoft Power Automate and Azure. Shipment data flows automatically from D365 to the carrier system when a packing slip is posted. Tracking numbers and shipping rates flow back into D365 automatically after the label is generated.
Where can I purchase AI Shipment365? +
AI Shipment365 is available on Microsoft Marketplace at marketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/product/saas/ascent365.ai-shipment-365. You can also reach Ascent directly at ascent365.com/solutions/ai-shipment365 or email sales@ascent365.com.
What happens after I purchase AI Shipment365 on Microsoft Marketplace? +
Once you complete the purchase, Microsoft initiates your subscription and sends a confirmation email. Ascent receives a notification at the same time. We activate your subscription, reach out with deployment details, and schedule your configuration session. You receive full instructions and go live within a few hours of starting setup.
How does AI Shipment365 connect UPS WorldShip to Dynamics 365? +
When a packing slip is posted in D365, Power Automate pushes the shipment data to an Azure SQL database. At the WorldShip workstation, the shipping team scans the packing slip barcode. WorldShip retrieves the record and populates all fields automatically including delivery address, customer UPS account number, service type, and delivery flags. The team enters box weights, generates the label, and submits. The tracking number and shipping rate flow back into D365 automatically.
Does AI Shipment365 support FedEx ShipManager as well as UPS WorldShip? +
Yes. AI Shipment365 supports both UPS WorldShip and FedEx ShipManager. The integration architecture is the same for both. FedEx can be configured during initial setup or added after UPS is live
How long does it take to deploy AI Shipment365? +
One to two hours for a standard setup with a single WorldShip installation. Having customer shipping data ready before the session, including account numbers, service type preferences, and delivery flags, is what keeps deployment within that window. Ascent handles the full configuration in one session.
Do I need a Transportation Management System to use AI Shipment365? +
No. AI Shipment365 is built for manufacturers who ship daily UPS or FedEx parcel volume and need D365 data to flow cleanly to their carrier system. A full TMS handles multi-carrier rate optimization and freight management at a complexity level most mid-market manufacturers do not require. AI Shipment365 is a targeted integration, not a platform replacement.
What Microsoft technology does AI Shipment365 run on? +
AI Shipment365 uses Microsoft Power Automate for integration flows and Azure SQL as the intermediary database between D365 and the carrier system. No custom D365 code, no X++ extensions, no third-party middleware. It runs entirely on Microsoft infrastructure.
Can I store multiple UPS account numbers per customer in D365? +
Yes. If a customer uses different UPS accounts depending on order type or destination, all account numbers are stored in D365 at the customer record level. The correct account populates automatically at shipment.
What happens when a shipment delivery date changes after the order leaves? +
A background batch process monitors open shipments by connecting to the UPS and FedEx tracking systems. When a delivery date changes, D365 updates automatically and the shipping manager receives an alert so the team can communicate proactively with the customer.
Does AI Shipment365 work for manufacturers with multiple shipping facilities? +
Yes. Each facility can have its own WorldShip or FedEx workstations connected to the same D365 environment. Customer shipping preferences apply consistently across all locations
What D365 version is required for AI Shipment365? +
D365 Finance and Operations cloud deployments on current supported versions. For on-premises deployments or older versions, contact Ascent before purchasing to confirm compatibility.
Do I need custom D365 code or extensions to use AI Shipment365? +
No. AI Shipment365 uses standard D365 data entities accessed through Power Automate. No X++ code, no custom extensions, and no changes to your D365 application layer are required.
How does AI Shipment365 connect to AI readiness in manufacturing? +
When shipping data is entered manually outside D365, the system cannot capture it. AI tools depend on complete, accurate data inside the ERP. When your shipping workflow is connected and all data flows through D365, your system has a full picture of your operation. That is the foundation any AI strategy needs to build on. Fixing shipping integration is one of the most practical steps toward meaningful AI readiness.
Who implements AI Shipment365 after purchase? +
Ascent Innovations built AI Shipment365 and handles all implementation. We manage Azure database setup, Power Automate flow deployment, WorldShip or FedEx mapping configuration, customer data setup, and UAT in a single session. Go-live happens the same day. Ascent stays available through your first live shipping period.
What ongoing support is available after go-live? +
Ascent provides ongoing support as the team that built and maintains AI Shipment365. For configuration questions, post-deployment issues, or updates related to WorldShip or FedEx releases, contact us directly at sales@ascent365.com or call +1 847 572 8000.
How much does AI Shipment365 cost? +
AI Shipment365 is priced for mid-market manufacturers and billed directly through Microsoft Marketplace. Contact us for pricing details at sales@ascent365.com.
